not one picture.

today i decided me and arabella would have a fun day.. despite the fact that seth, his parents, and my mom were ALL out of town... we had lunch at thai classic, our favorite. arabella LOVES spring rolls, pad thai and curry, as do i. the thai ladies that work there adore her and she calls them 'friend'... as soon as we walked in she saw one of her best friends and ran full speed into her arms and hugged her. love. we walked around for a while... we saw daniel, halle, and jackson (their baby) we saw dave and charla, and we saw cameron, which was hilarious and amazing for arabella, they just played a game where she made him eat a tiny rock for a while.... we walked around more and its so insane how much arabella loves people, i will have to find the balance for this in order to keep her safe but i NEVER want to quench this love in her because it is something i wish i had. she saw a little girl and her grandma on a bench and as we walked by she stopped right in front smiled and said hi, she proceeded to sit next to the little girl for a bit then got down walked to the grandma hugged her leg and then climbed on her lap! the lady loved it... wild. i took her to erin and karls after that so she could take a nap, then we came back down to see kungfu panda... she liked it a lot, and ate her left over pad thai while we watched. when we left we went to starbucks and she had a chocolate milk and i had some water whoo hoo.. ha... and then we came home. she played for a while then we went to home depot to get stuff for a house project i'm surprising seth with. while we were there she charmed EVERYONE because she was bent on wearing her tutu when we left, her tutu and nothing else. there was one old man that said hi to her and before i even knew what was happening she had let go of my hand and fully ran over to him and just hugged his leg! i was like 'ara, that's sweet, but you cant just hug EVERYONE' and the man was like 'i think thats good!' .... so then we came home she asked me for MORE broccoli, ate a ton, some beans and then went to bed. what a good day. i am so in love with that little face i can't even bear it. i want to love like her... shes amazing.

that whole wonderful day and i didn't get one picture.

i found yours via a blog of a blog etc. I read this and was shaking my head the whole time. I have 5 kids and they would climb over the fence to talk to strangers. I want them to be friendly and love everyone, but it is such a scary world these days.
I can totally understand the dilemna. My now 6yo went and sat at another table to talk to them better she said. Hopefully you will be able to find a balance.
With my big kids it is a lot easier, they know they can talk to people as long as they are with arm's reach. I don't wanting them get out of reach with a stranger.
