7%- come on.

so i took this poll

Moms, when did you fall head-over-heels in love with your child?

It was love before first sight -- I fell in love during the pregnancy.

Right after seeing and holding my child for the first time.

Within the first few days after my child's arrival.

Within the first few weeks after my child's arrival.

Within the first few months after my child's arrival.

I have a strong bond with my child, but never got that "falling in love" feeling.

We're still working on bonding.

on babycenter.com

and my answer which was
Within the first few weeks after my child's arrival.

was only 7% of all the people who answered.
and MOST of the answers 46% and 26% were OF COURSE
It was love before first sight -- I fell in love during the pregnancy.
and

Right after seeing and holding my child for the first time.

i want to know if this is like first baby or what cause ...
i understand the right after seeing and holding it one, but the freaking 'it was love before first sight'.... come on. for real? you dont even know what you are talking about when you say you 'love' your baby before you ever have a child.

well i guess i really am made of stone.

make that 8%. i was too freaking exhausted to fall in love, dealing with my own jealousy issues of this new person everyone cared so much about, seeing right through me when i needed the most support i've ever needed in my life. ouch. it helped heaps when i started to pick up things from her personality and when i felt physically better and more hormonally stable -- all of which takes time. of course i adored her from birth, was incredibly interested in her... but i guess like any true love, thats how it starts, but it takes time to really be IN LOVE.

funny that i can still sometimes not want to be a mum, be SO over it, thinking about what life would be like, who i would be like... and still be SO freaking in love with the person whose changed your world so much.
